SnaYa culture

Known in ancient times as Yazhou, literally "cliff state or prefecture", Sanya's boasts a history of more than 2000 years. Due to its remoteness from the political centers during the Imperial China eras on Mainland China, Sanya was sometimes called Tianya Haijiao, meaning "the end of the sky and ocean" or "the end of the earth".

Sanya has the most beautiful seaside scenery in china. There are beautiful seashores including the world-famous bay—Yalong Bay, Dadonghai and Sanya Bay. Their shared features are blue seawater, silver sands, mild waves and tender breeze.

Surrounded by green mountains on three sides, Yalong Bay has soft silver sands. Its visibility of seawater is as far as 7-9 meters. As the best seaside in Sanya, Yanglong Bay is the place where a various luxury hotels can be found.

The life is slow, comfortable and easy, as the city is not very big. Always fresh and tasty tropical fruits and vegetables. Probably the cleanest air in whole China. It is not very expensive to live here. Sanya is wonderful, but for some time. Because if you are interested in different kinds of entertainment like festivals, museums, exhibitions etc. and your personal and career growth — there is nothing to do here. They say Sanya Bay is the best location to watch the sunset. In fact, it is said that this is the only place where you can catch glimpses of the sunset over the sea in the area. Located 8km west of Sanya’s suburbs, the bay stretches along the coast in a crescent shape for 22 kilometres. It’s not considered the best or most popular beach in Sanya however, as its waters and sand are known to get quite muddy. As with all developed beaches, a jungle of hotels and apartment blocks run the length of the beach. On the up side, a wide range of fun activities are on offer at Sanya Bay, such as wind surfing and sailing, but overall the biggest attraction is the opportunity to stroll along the beach and watch the sunset.
